What is one tip you would give to couples trying to make a decision on their wedding photographer?
“You spend more time with your wedding photographer than any other singular person on your wedding day, oftentimes including your soon-to-be spouse. You should be able to tell their personality through their work, their website, and their social media, and it’s so important that you vibe with it. Do calls if you need to, read all of their reviews – make sure they’re the right fit for YOU. Your best friend’s photographer might have been incredibly fun and produced beautiful work, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re the right fit for you!

What wedding trends are you seeing upcoming this season and loving?
I’m loving that more and more couples and vendors are getting excited about breaking the mold in various ways. Mixing textures and metals in addition to colors, foregoing speeches and doing games instead, temporary tattoos (and even flash tattoos!). I’m a sucker for anything that isn’t “normally” part of a wedding day or wedding aesthetic, but adds authenticity to the day because it’s something that feels true to who the couple is. I’m also SO stoked that handheld video is coming back!”

What sets the Lang Co. apart from other photographers?
“Mike & I had our own wedding photography studios before we became husband & wife, so neither one of us is the “main photographer” while the other supplements – with The Lang Co, you’re getting two creative professionals with over a decade of expertise EACH who, above all else, prioritize your experience of your day. We believe the best photos are made when you’re having the best time, and our entire process revolves around helping you do that.”

What is your favorite moment to photograph on wedding day?
“Hands down, dance floor (or end of night equivalent)! I love the entire day, but nothing beats the laughter and faces that come out when the formal stuff is done and it’s time to relax and have FUN.”
