Weekday Wedding Highlight: Cynthia + Aaron

Real Weddings

We are celebrating weekday weddings all year long! Cynthia and Aaron said “I Do” one stunning Thursday in February, we are still not over their stunning captures.

The newlyweds chose a classic look, with the groom in a sleek black suit and bowtie, and the bride in a lace mermaid gown with sheer sleeves. Their celebration was pure elegance, enhanced by modern elements like a champagne wall and a welcome mirror with a customized message for their guests.

Cynthia and Aaron shared private moments in The Workshop, The Sixpence’s revamped garage space.  We absolutely love the candid shots by their photographer – playing pool, sharing laughter, and stealing glances before their reception. Amidst the excitement of their wedding details, these intimate snapshots remain the true highlights, reflecting their love as newlyweds.

Weekday Weddings

We love hosting weekday weddings at The Sixpence and bringing our couples’ dreams to life. Prospectively, 24.5% of our 2024 weddings will occur on a weekday (As of right now… interested in booking? We’d love to have you! Book a private tour at The Sixpence!)

Since 2018, weekday weddings have been on the rise, driven by factors like venue availability, cost savings, and flexibility. Overall, 20% of weddings will occur on a weekday. While there are numerous considerations in wedding planning, couples frequently overlook the possibility of hosting their ceremony on a day other than Saturday. We wholeheartedly encourage both our current and prospective clients to contemplate a weekday wedding, especially if it aligns with their vision for the perfect celebration.

While booking and planning multiple weekday weddings, our top 3 takeaways from having a weekday wedding:

  1. Availability options during prime months. Saturdays and weekend dates during the prime wedding months (May-October) are often in high demand but don’t despair if your desired date is unavailable. Opting for a weekday wedding provides the flexibility to select from multiple dates within your preferred months.
  2. Secure your dream venue and vendors. When you’ve selected your dream venue but find all the weekend dates are booked, it might seem like switching venues is the only option. However, that’s far from the truth – you still have every weekday at your disposal. Opting for a weekday wedding also puts you in an advantageous position to secure almost, if not all, of your preferred vendors, as they’re more likely to be available on these dates. Ultimately, by considering alternative dates, you can seamlessly bring your dream wedding to life.
  3. Pick a date that is special to you. While the perfect date for your wedding might hold special significance, such as the day you first met or a cherished anniversary, it may not necessarily fall on a weekend. Maintaining an open mind during wedding planning enables you to prioritize the date that holds the most meaning for you, regardless of the day of the week it falls on.

Ultimately, when you and your guests reminisce over the photos and memories of your wedding, it’s the special moments that will stand out, not the day of the week it occurred. We love bringing our client’s dreams to life, any and all days of the week.

If you can dream it, we can host it.
