January Styled Shoot: Romance at The Sixpence

Campaigns + Projects

Anytime our team has the opportunity to work with talented professionals on creative projects, we get excited.

After the holiday hustle and bustle of 2022 waned, we knew we wanted to head into the year with fresh blooms & elegance in mind.

So for our January Styled Shoot at The Sixpence, we envisioned a space to showcase a small palette of wedding styles and the creative marriage of natural playfulness and classic glamor.

Garden of Delights

Lydia of Bluebell House Florals composed a gorgeous, visually organic installation to transform a portion of our barn into a miniature garden. We love the pairing of playfulness and elegance: a wild garden + chic colored outfits for bride and groom.

The ballgown is Morilee by Madeline Gardner at Gretchen’s Bridal Gallery, perfectly styled with a romantic low hairstyle. Louie’s Tux Shop outfitted our groom in striking maroon suit with a silk lavender pocket square + bowtie.

Ethereal Details

Gold cufflinks for him & a one-of-a-kind floral applique veil completed this dreamy look.

Gilded Glamor

Forever fans of a sultry silhouette, this look featured touches of classic hollywood: big, crisp curls, gold backdrops, and tiny sparkling details.

A pearl-encrusted makeup application, courtesy of the talented Chelsea Lassiter, and statement gloves took this style up one glamorous notch.

Black Tie Affair

There’s just something about a classic black tux – and a stunning gown to match. We adore this elevated pairing – from his black buttons to her understated pearl accessories.

From First Class Designs: crisp white pillars, a gold-painted palm backdrop, & a beautifully sleek sweetheart lounge. We can’t resist a pearl-dotted veil to play up this look, but simply adore the bare-shouldered gown as is.

Shadowplay

The perfect element in any shoot: sunlight pouring in from our southwest windows.

A floral moment for this white princess gown, along with an effortless updo by Christina Palmer of Urban Studio completed our lookbook session. (And yes, we’re in love with the blue baby’s breath clouds on our beams as well).

In Bloom

Every opportunity we get to embrace and explore creative concepts is one we celebrate. We’re so grateful for the energy, time, and talent contributed by all of our wonderful partners in order to make this day a reality.

As always, we at The Sixpence are huge proponents of our couples celebrating their unique style and love story on their wedding day.

If you’re inspired by any of the looks shared today, we highly recommend connecting with these talented vendor partners and allowing them to help make your wedding day dreams a reality.
