What a beautiful first season we saw at The Sixpence. The events we saw from July – December on our property each showcased different styles, details, and unique touches that reflected the love story of each couple who said “I Do.”
We just can’t wait to share with you our round up of some favorite parts about 2021 at The Sixpence.
The Sixpence Barn and property offers a beautiful blank canvas for every couple to celebrate and make their own, and we loved seeing all the different ways that this played out – from lush green lawn ceremonies, to floral-covered romantic receptions, to jewel-toned winter weddings.
Here are just a few favorite peeks at the year:
A Unique Getaway Ride
Ciera and Cort highlighted Cort’s career in their festive getaway ride – a beautifully decked out firetruck! For a different look, we utilized Indy Trolley’s beautiful white trolley for our Autumn Hosted Styled shoot – with touches of greenery and plenty of room to lounge and sip champagne, we love this light-filled ride as well.
Moments in the Private Loft Suite
The beautiful gold mirror in our bridal suite was especially selected to amplify the natural light and capture heart-felt moments on your special day. The picture on the left, shows Pauline, the very first bride who booked at The Sixpence (!!) surrounded by loved ones as she prepares to walk down the aisle. On the left, Nicole’s bridesmaids react to her stunning special day look. We love the palette and different dress styles Nicole selected for her New Year’s Day wedding.
Jordan and Carli spend a quiet moment alone in the bridal suite after their ceremony, the perfect space to escape before the celebration continues.
Whether sipping champagne or capturing detail shots of your special day accessories, the bridal suite is spacious and versatile for the duration of your stay with us.
Let’s Hear it for the Boys
While hair and makeup often takes a bit more of the bridal party’s time, we love these captures of what the groom’s party is up to on their day at The Sixpence.
The soon-to-be-wed cheers with his groomsmen outside The Sixpence. Some would say a sip or two calms the pre-ceremony nerves.
On the left, Nick preps for the ceremony in the downstairs private suite. Equipped with roomy leather couches, TV, and dry bar, it’s the perfect space to hang out while the bridal party preps upstairs. We love that Nick incorporated a custom pin to keep loved ones close on his special day. On the right, you get a peek of our Workshop space. Located just across the paved parking lot, this additional space gives wedding parties even more room to spread out. With a full bar, darts, 90″ TV, restrooms, and getting ready space, we like the think The Workshop is the perfect place for your loved ones to hang out and stay busy prior to the ceremony.
Vince showcases his powers just outside The Sixpence. Along with the commitment from every one of these awesome groomsmen, we love their coordinating socks and outfit details, staying sharp while having fun.
Sixpence Sunsets
Just like our celebrations, no two sunsets on The Sixpence property are quite the same. These stunning shots showcase just how unique, and beautiful, every couple is.
Hana and John share a kiss as the sun sets behind them, and we can’t get over how sweet the glow and romance of this shot is.
Only looking dreamier as the sun continued to set, we love how Hana incorporated rich hues and a beautiful fur wrap to stay warm during this December celebration.
Kylee and Patrick share a loving look after their Autumn lawn ceremony. The sun is setting, but the celebration of their forever love is just beginning.
The dappled light across our lawn creates a beautiful background for this sweet shot of Nick and Natalie on their special day. On the right, Natalie looks gorgeous standing on the west side of the Barn, with the glow of the evening sun reflected on the windows behind her.
Time to Celebrate
With 8,000 sq. ft. to host, huge custom chandeliers that can be dimmed as the evening continues, and a gorgeous illuminated bar ready to serve guests, receptions at The Sixpence are hard to forget.
Hana and John added a unique touch to their head table with a custom neon sign by Simply Stunning Creations.
Ciera and Cort share their first dance in the midst of a truly magical Barn, transformed by floral and greenery decor designed by the groom’s mother, florist Lori Christy of Elsie’s Flower Shoppe. On the right, their custom cocktails coordinated with the warm floral decor throughout.
More unique details from the day: a champagne wall outside allowed guests to grab a sip before finding their seat. At the reception, a signature cocktail named after adorable Boomer was enjoyed by all guests.
The night continued with fun and festivities, and we love this sweet shot of the celebrating newlyweds.
Cort continued to enjoy the party, looking stunning while dancing with friends and family.
Kylee and Patrick overlook their party from the balcony, enjoying the view of their special celebration.
Back into the mix, the newlyweds enjoyed hitting the dancefloor with their loved ones.
Bidding the party goodbye with this sparkler exit!
Thank you to all the couples that trusted us with their love stories and hosted their wedding day with us – Love you more!
Feeling so thankful 🤍
