We had a chance to chat with Esther at Sophia’s and ask her a few questions:
What’s your favorite thing about helping brides find their wedding dress?
“Finding your wedding dress is such a priceless experience—one you’ll remember forever. Being invited into that moment is an honor, and every appointment is its own unique, memorable adventure. All of our stylists could share their own favorite part of the process, but mine is absolutely the moment when a bride sees herself in a gown that makes her feel incredible. Wedding dress shopping is unlike any other kind of shopping; it’s wrapped in emotions, anticipation, and lifelong dreams. Watching someone fall in love with how they look and how they feel is pure magic. Whether a bride walks in confident or still working on loving themselves, that empowered, beautiful moment when they say “YES” is everything. The world of bridal offers endless possibilities, and I love being able to use our expertise to guide each bride through those options to the gown that feels like them. Helping create those once-in-a-lifetime memories is truly the heart of what we do.”

What’s one tip for a newly engaged bride who is starting to look for her dress?
“Make your dress-shopping day as special as possible! We work hard to create a magical experience in our boutique, and you can elevate that by planning a meaningful day around it. Invite your favorite people, grab a cute coffee beforehand, or plan a celebratory brunch afterward. Most importantly, come in with an open mind. Bring inspiration photos you love (Instagram and Pinterest are perfect for this!), but also allow yourself to try styles you may not have expected. Dresses can look and feel completely different on your body compared to on the hanger, and your stylist will guide you through all the possibilities until you find “the one.” Let yourself enjoy the moment, be excited, and be ready to celebrate in whatever way feels like you.”
