Wedding Week To-Do’s
- Make sure your wedding website is completely updated with travel info and important times for guests
- Plan out who is going to provide lunch (and/or breakfast) for your bridal party
- Tip from The Sixpence: chat with your caterer to see what bridal bite/lunch options they can offer you!
- Extra tip: Choose something simple and with carbs like sandwiches – don’t forget to eat on your wedding day!!
- Pick up wedding dress and have the seamstress teach someone else how to bustle the train
- Get a video of it, if possible or needed.
- Get your engagement ring cleaned
- If you are getting ready at a hotel, give your room number to your photographer, videographer, hair & makeup artists, and florist (so they can drop off personal florals)!
- We suggest doing this as soon as you check in. If you have a wedding planner, they should get the room number from you and then share it with the necessary vendors.
- Steam your dress the night before your wedding! You’ve likely had it in the bridal bag since you picked it up so it’s probably pretty wrinkly. Steaming it the night before saves you so much time on the morning of. Then designate one of your bridesmaids to touch it up in the morning!
- Hand out copies of your wedding timeline to your bridal party and family so they’re aware of what is needed from them on wedding day and when they need to be there
- Prepare unpaid vendor balance payments due on the wedding day
- Prepare a details box for your photographer (including both rings)
- If you wrote your own vows, provide a copy to the officiant just in case
- Review seating details with ushers
- Rehearse the ceremony and review any important wedding day information with family & bridal party.
- At rehearsal, bring your marriage license, extra set of vows, vendor tips/thank you’s (if applicable), final vendor payments, and anything the wedding planners would need on wedding day (decor, etc.)
- Get a good night’s sleep!
