We are so thankful to the team at MGC for taking a few moments out of busy New York bridal fashion week to chat with us and share some expertise – from tips on where to start, new trends they’re loving, and MORE!
The Sixpence asks: What tips do you have for brides just starting their wedding dress shopping?
Marie Gabriel Couture: “We think one of the most important first steps is to select your wedding venue! It really helps to envision the whole day and gives the first step for wedding dress shopping. Otherwise, it’s great to get a bridal aesthetic going, whether that’s through a Pinterest board or saving things you like on Instagram. Don’t overwhelm yourself or feel the need to ‘study’ too much though – select a bridal store that you trust, and we’ll help guide you from there! Everything is so much better in person, and what you see online can differ greatly from trying things on yourself.”

What is a unique style trend that you’re excited for this season?
MGC: “We are loving the return to timeless, classic bridal silhouettes. Right now, we’re seeing our designers introduce incredible lace options and LOTS of ballgown silhouettes with modern bodice designs. We are also excited for the variety of necklines that we have this season – we really made sure to cover all our bases to make sure we had something for every bride!”
