What a delight to see another beautiful spring bloom into summer here at The Sixpence! We just celebrated the dreamiest Spring/Summer Open House, brought to life through the talented contributions of many fabulous partners. We adore this opportunity to open our doors to the public, and have a little summer party just because.
The inspiration? A sunkissed holiday by the coast, your first sip of the perfect summer cocktail, the elegant simplicity of delft tiles, handwritten love notes…

Our day was captured beautifully by The Siners Photo.

When it comes to design for summer events, colorplay is a must. We honed in on a few favorite tones for this event: playing with blue and white patterns, and dusting in peach, taupe, and green for a lush and lively look. Foundations Wedding Planning and Design showed off with a beautiful intimate lawn ceremony design that incorporated organic draping work, and overflowing baskets of potted blooms, alongside dreamy faux arrangements by Lily Ever After, and delightfully playful tablescape blooms by Westfield Flower Box.

Our gorgeous model embodied a fairytale princess in her Essence of Australia gown by our friends at The Wedding Studio Greenwood. Complimenting the classic silhouette, we opted for soft waves and a glowy glam by Black Swan Beauty Artistry. Our guest models were outfitted by Duo Boutique to show off a variety of beautiful, breezy summer styles, set off with gorgeous jewelry by Metalmark Fine Jewelry, gorgeous tans by Tan it with Janet, and smooth skin thanks to aesthetics by Face Foundrie.
A favorite feature of the day? The Lettering Grove‘s darling doodles could be found throughout. Not only did she create our beautiful ceremony sign and creative place settings (obsessed), but also beautified a few simple paper fans, instantly making every snapshot that much chicer (and cooler!)

Small Batch No. 3 came out help guests play jeweler and design their own custom charm jewelry. Oh, and she brought the *perfect* charms for the occasion – we cannot recommend Small Batch No. 3 enough if you want to host a jewelry-making party your guests will never forget. (Bachy party/bridal shower idea!)

Emily Winslow Art absolutely took our breath away with these gorgeous painting of our ceremony set up, featured here next to the most stunning blooms by Lily Ever After, on our new Sixpence pillars.
At the bar, RNDC was featured as our spirits partner, showcasing a variety of offerings from the Remy Cointreau family of brands. On the menu for the day was a delicious tropical Old Fashioned, made with Mount Gay Rum and Cointreau, along with a fabulous Gin Spritz featuring The Botanist Gin and Belle de Brillet pear liquer.

DJ Lockstar kept the vibes right all day with atmosphere-setting music, and guests enjoyed delicious bites from Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering and lounging on beautiful seating areas by Michaelangelos. We absolutely love when couples bring in unique lounge seating for their guests. It instantly makes your wedding day feel like a party in the best way, allowing guests to get comfortable while all dressed up. Plus, photos of your 6 best friends hanging out on a beautiful velvet couch are somehow a little more glam than sitting around a table!

It’s the perfect time of year to visit the Grotto Wooded Ceremony Space. Set back in the woods behind the barn, surrounded by 100 year old oak, poplar, and sycamore trees, the Grotto provides an exclusive and intimate natural surrounding to say your vows.
And something about a summer party calls for live music: we were thrilled to have both Deoc Ensemble and Indy Harpist serenade us throughout the day. Guests enjoyed sweet dessert bites, photo spots galore both inside and out, and so much more on this dreamy day.
