We chatted with Sean of Deoc, and he shared why strings might be the perfect fit for your celebration:
“A string ensemble has a unique effect on your wedding day. It’s easy enough to find your favorite songs on your phone, or ask a DJ to play recorded songs over the speakers, but strings can elevate the look and feel of a wedding by providing timeless elegance.” – Sean, Co-Owner, Deoc Ensemble
A tip for couples considering string music on their day?
“Before you begin looking for live music, consider what amount you are willing to spend. A professional string ensemble’s fees will account for the performance on your day, rehearsal time, custom requests, and how seasoned the group is. If a group is more expensive, it is because they are well established and all hold professional degrees. Some ensembles have booking managers who work for companies based out of town, but Deoc is a locally owned business by Sean and Grace, who are in charge of the group. This guarantees you a professional contract and protection, but also someone local and available to answer your questions as they come up.” – Sean, Co-Owner, Deoc Ensemble
Sean and his team emphasize that choosing music for your ceremony should be fun! Whether you’re looking for classical, romantic, pop, or something else, Deoc works one-on-one with couples to come up with the perfect playlist for their wedding and can make individual or full program recommendations.
Deoc has performed at hundreds of weddings and events since we started our group. The Sixpence has been one of our favorite venues, to work and collaborate with, by far. They are so attuned to the needs of their couples, team, and vendors, it’s always a joy to work with them. We cant recommend The Sixpence enough as a venue and we always know our couples will have the wedding day of their dreams. We can’t wait to collaborate with them on many more weddings and events!
